If rejuvenation is the name, then NeuroSpa is the game. Nestled inside the Phoenicia Malta, NeuroSpa has just opened its doors, promising not just relaxation, but total neural recalibration. The Phoenicia’s guests can check in for a wellbeing retreat – and NeuroSpa’s expert practitioners will get busy treating the brain, the mind, and the body by using their exclusive NeuroSpa BrainGym technology. Their specialists deliver bespoke wellbeing interventions that provide deep healing, while ensuring their guests achieve peak cognitive performance.
This is a place built for people who are always switched on—and need help switching off. This isn’t wellness for show. It’s for people who need their brain to perform under pressure—and want help keeping it that way.

With treatments that are as cutting-edge as they are calming, NeuroSpa offers treatments by using advanced brain-training technology. These include trauma-releasing EMDR therapy, qEEG brain mapping, and emotional freedom techniques. They also offer cutting-edge neurofeedback sessions and targeted neuro-meditation designed to enhance cognitive function and emotional resilience.
Their exclusive software then gives feedback on how the brain is functioning and uses this to develop a brain map. The aim here is to deliver peak brain performance while regularising the brain to feel better through transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), which produces very tiny electric shocks to the brain.

But what does all this technology actually do?
The concept was first mooted many years ago in a conversation between Robyn Pratt, the Managing Director of The Phoenicia and Cher Engerer Kerr, a qualified Psychologist and the founder of Polaris Wellbeing, a wellness consultancy. It took years of discussion and planning to get to today’s launch of NeuroSpa.
Polaris Wellbeing then spent years developing its exclusive BrainGym technology, and the result is NeuroSpa, which is a first for Malta. Their bespoke treatments bring the brain component into the mind and body, to deliver a completely holistic science-based wellness experience that restores balance.
Ms Kerr, explains, “Our advanced digital and tech-driven solutions help guests achieve rapid transformation, whether recovering from stress, a condition, dependency, trauma, or burnout.”
Ms Kerr elaborates, “These treatments are not just about looking good or feeling good. It's about functioning at your peak and delivering a sharp mind, a relaxed brain, and a resilient, vigorous body. In short, we restore balance.”
The approach is clinical, but the setting is warm and quiet. Guests enter private rooms where biometric scans read brain activity and nervous system signals. Based on the results, each session is tailored, so no two treatments are the same.

But it doesn’t end there. By being at the Phoenicia, guests can also avail of a carefully curated ‘brain-food menu’ lovingly prepared by their in-house chefs.
So, it’s clear that this is not a place for clay masks and whale music. This is more a place where high-performance meets high pampering, with the brain being the VIP!
