The National Institute of Crafts in France hosts the European Artistic Craft Days (EACD), an annual international event that celebrates artisans from all around Europe. The EACD's purpose is to bridge the gap between people and artisans by allowing craftspeople to open their workshops for public visits, deepening appreciation for these creative individuals.
This year’s edition of ELEVATE THE EVERYDAY encourages individuals to take a step back from their regular routines and observe the seemingly mundane yet beautiful pieces of craftsmanship that often go unnoticed. Between March 27th - April 2nd, we invite you on an exploration for newfound appreciation in everyday life!
The Malta Crafts Foundation will be coordinating the country's inaugural participation in the EACD to provide a platform for local creatives and innovators, as well as put our flourishing cultural and creative economy on full display. As part of this endeavour, an interactive map is being created featuring Maltese artisans who plan to open their doors during the event.
This promotion offers a unique opportunity for creative minds from all corners of the globe to showcase their talents. Localities everywhere are invited to explore and discover talent that may commonly go overlooked. Plus, with its interactive map remaining active year-round, participants can expect plenty of continued exposure over time - making it easier than ever before to spread awareness about themselves and their craft!
